Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is Canada’s busiest airport and a major international gateway. It is located in Mississauga, about 22 kilometers northwest of downtown Toronto. The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, equipped to handle a wide range of domestic and international flights. It serves over 180 destinations worldwide.
Named after Lester B. Pearson, Canada’s 14th prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, it is the main hub for Air Canada. Transportation options to and from the airport include the Union Pearson Express train, buses, taxis, ridesharing apps, and car rentals. The airport is also known for its U.S. border preclearance facility, which makes international travel more convenient.
