Tokyu Hotels is a major Japanese hotel group within the Tokyu Group, which is widely known for its railway and urban development businesses. The company operates a nationwide portfolio of mid-range to upscale hotels, with dozens of properties and approximately 13,000 to 14,000 guest rooms, mainly across Japan with a small overseas presence. Its network spans from Hokkaido to Okinawa and includes city, business, and resort hotels designed to serve both domestic and international travelers.

The group’s core brands are Tokyu Hotel, offering full-service upscale stays, Excel Hotel Tokyu, positioned in the upper mid-range and often located near major stations, and Tokyu REI Hotel, focused on business and budget travelers. The company traces its origins to the late 1950s and 1960s, beginning with landmark properties such as the Ginza Tokyu Hotel, and established a dedicated hotel management company in 2001. A brand reorganization in 2015 shaped the current structure, alongside flagship properties like The Capitol Hotel Tokyu and Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Shibuya. More recently, the group has expanded into lifestyle-oriented hotels including BELLUSTAR TOKYO, HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, and SHIBUYA STREAM HOTEL, while also offering guest benefits through its Tokyu Hotels Comfort Members loyalty program.
