Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) is the main international airport serving Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. It is located about 15 kilometers north of downtown. Named after Sir Seretse Khama, the country’s first president, the airport opened in 1984 and handles the highest passenger traffic in Botswana, serving both regional and international flights.
