Singapore Airlines (SIA or SQ) is the flag carrier of Singapore, headquartered at Changi Airport. It was officially established in 1972, evolving from Malayan Airways Limited, which dates back to 1937. It is widely regarded as one of the world's best airlines, having won the Skytrax World's Best Airline award five times, including in 2023. SIA has been a member of Star Alliance since 2000 and is rated a 5-star airline. It has an extensive global network covering Asia, North America, Europe, Australasia, Africa, and the Middle East.
