ABOUT
Pacific Coastal Airlines is a privately owned regional carrier based in British Columbia, Canada. It serves more airports in the province than any other airline and operates from Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal. As of 2025, the company offers scheduled, charter, and cargo flights to 20 destinations across B.C. The airline was named one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2025. Vancouver International Airport is its main hub, where Pacific Coastal ranks thirteenth by outbound seats and third by takeoffs and landings.
The airline’s story began nearly 40 years ago with Daryl Smith, a truck logger from Bella Coola who bought a seaplane to reach remote camps. His commitment to connecting communities continues under his son, Quentin Smith, the current president.
