Outrigger Resorts & Hotels is known for its innovative tourism development. In 1929, Roy and Estelle arrived in Hawaii with just a few dollars and a lot of optimism. They saved, invested, started a family, and 18 years later built their first hotel in Waikiki. They were the first to offer affordable hotel rooms in Waikiki, which helped kickstart tourism in the 1950s. Today, Outrigger Resorts & Hotels continues to thrive, operating luxury resorts and hotels in Hawaii, Asia-Pacific, and the Indian Ocean. The company’s success is a result of hard work and foresight, as well as a commitment to hospitality. In December 2016, Outrigger Resorts & Hotels was acquired by KSL Capital Partners LLC (KSL). However, the company will continue to operate as usual and provide guests with its renowned hospitality.
