The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) operates under the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure. The MTPA's objectives include promoting Mauritius as a tourist destination. This is achieved by: conducting advertising campaigns and participating in industry fairs; organizing promotional activities in collaboration with the local hospitality sector, both domestically and internationally; providing visitors with information on available facilities, infrastructure, and services in Mauritius; promoting cooperation with other related agencies; conducting research on market trends and opportunities, and sharing relevant statistical data; and advising the Minister on promotion matters.
