Madagascar Airlines is the national flag carrier of Madagascar, headquartered in Antananarivo and based at Ivato International Airport. Founded in 1961 as "MADAIR" from a merger of Air Madagascar and Air France's local network, it evolved into Air Madagascar, connecting the island domestically and internationally, especially to Europe (Paris, Marseille), Asia (Guangzhou, Bangkok), and nearby African and Indian Ocean regions.
