LATAM Airlines is the flagship brand of LATAM Airlines Group S.A., a Chile-based holding company and the largest airline group in Latin America by network and passenger reach. Headquartered in Santiago, the group was formed through the 2012 merger of LAN Airlines and Brazil’s TAM Linhas Aéreas.
Under the LATAM brand, it operates several national carriers, including airlines based in Chile, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Paraguay, as well as dedicated cargo airlines. The group serves over 160 destinations in more than 20 countries and operates one of the most extensive route networks in the region.
Its primary hubs are in Santiago at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, São Paulo Guarulhos, Lima at Jorge Chávez International Airport, and Bogotá, with secondary hubs in cities such as Quito, Guayaquil, and Asunción. From these hubs, LATAM offers dense domestic networks in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador, along with long-haul services to key destinations in North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Oceania, Africa, and parts of Asia.
LATAM operates a mixed Airbus and Boeing fleet of more than 300 aircraft. Its loyalty program, LATAM Pass, allows customers to earn and redeem miles on LATAM flights and on partner airlines, as well as for upgrades, hotels, and other travel-related products.
