Iberia (IB) is Spain’s largest airline, headquartered in Madrid and operating from its main hub at Madrid-Barajas Airport. The airline serves more than 140 destinations across Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with a particularly strong network between Spain and Latin America. As a member of the oneworld alliance, it connects passengers to a wide range of global routes through its own flights and partner airlines.
Founded in 1927 with its first scheduled service between Madrid and Barcelona, the airline has grown into a major international carrier and became part of International Airlines Group with British Airways in 2011. Today, the company operates a fleet of 162 aircraft and offers Economy, Premium Economy, and Business cabins, depending on the route. Beyond passenger travel, it also supports cargo services, aircraft maintenance, and airport handling through related businesses, while its Iberia Club program lets frequent flyers earn Avios and manage trips through digital tools and partner services.
