Hurtigruten is a Norwegian coastal express service and cruise line with a history dating back to 1893. It operates daily, year-round voyages between Bergen in the southwest and Kirkenes in the far northeast of Norway, stopping at 34 ports northbound and 33 ports southbound. The route serves both local passengers and cargo transport, connecting remote communities along Norway's rugged coastline. Additionally, the company operates a fully commercial ship to Svalbard.

Hurtigruten is considered the world’s greenest cruise line and has been recognized as Norway’s most sustainable travel brand. The company emphasizes sustainability by operating hybrid-powered ships, using biogas, and aiming for zero-emission vessels by 2030. They also avoid single-use plastics and recycle waste on board. It continues to modernize its fleet while preserving its cultural significance in Norway, with some ships carrying historic names such as MS Finnmarken.
