Honduran Institute of Tourism

ABOUT

The Honduran Institute of Tourism (Instituto Hondureño de Turismo, IHT) is a public organization with legal status and its own assets. It operates independently in administration and finance. Its main office is in Tegucigalpa, in the Central District Municipality.

Mission

The IHT is responsible for stimulating, guiding, and promoting the development of tourism in Honduras. Its primary goal is to improve the quality of life for Hondurans and strengthen national identity by implementing tourism policies defined by the Ministry of Tourism.
