EVA Air is a wholly privately owned Taiwanese airline founded in March 1989 as the sister company of Evergreen Marine Corporation. Headquartered at Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, it launched its maiden flight on July 1, 1991, and has since grown into a major international carrier known for high standards of service and safety.
