European Waterways is a UK-based, privately owned travel company that operates one of Europe’s largest fleets of luxury hotel barges on rivers and canals across nine countries. It specializes in all-inclusive, small-group barging holidays, typically six-night cruises that combine slow-paced cruising with regional culture, food, and wine in areas such as Burgundy, the Canal du Midi, the Scottish Highlands, the River Shannon, and the canals near Venice.
The company converts former commercial barges into intimate “floating boutique hotels,” usually carrying between 4 and 20 passengers.
