Emirates is a major international airline based in Dubai and one of the world’s largest long-haul carriers. Its home base is in Garhoud, with operations centered at Dubai International Airport, Terminal 3. The airline is part of The Emirates Group, which is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai.

The airline operates an extensive global network, flying thousands of services each week to destinations across six continents. Its route map covers more than 130 cities in over 70 countries. It uses a hub-and-spoke model, with a central connection point that enables efficient one-stop travel between Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australasia. It also plays a key role in global logistics through its dedicated cargo division.

Emirates operates an all wide-body fleet designed for long-haul travel and high passenger capacity. The fleet is dominated by Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft, making it the largest operator of both types worldwide, with well over 100 of each in service. Airbus A350 aircraft have also been introduced on selected routes. This fleet strategy supports the airline’s focus on long-distance international operations.

The airline is known for its full-service offerings, including premium cabin products, extensive in-flight entertainment, and complimentary dining. It continues to receive recognition in international airline rankings and passenger surveys.
