Brand USA is the nation’s destination marketing organization, responsible for promoting international travel to the United States and strengthening the U.S. economy. Through data‑driven campaigns and coordinated messaging across industry and government, it positions the country as a top global destination. It also provides clear, up‑to‑date information on visas and entry requirements, helping international visitors plan travel with confidence and supporting legitimate inbound travel that benefits communities across the United States.
Established by the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 and launched in 2011, Brand USA is the first public‑private partnership dedicated to promoting the United States abroad. Over the past 12 years, its efforts have generated more than 10 million incremental visitors, nearly $35 billion in visitor spending, and close to $76 billion in total economic impact. These results support approximately 40,000 jobs each year across travel and non‑travel sectors, including manufacturing, construction, finance, and retail. The organization is funded by private‑sector travel partners and matching funds collected from international visitors traveling under the Visa Waiver Program.
