Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), established in 2014 as a reform of the former Barbados Tourist Board and Barbados Tourism Authority, is the official marketing organization responsible for promoting and supporting the development of tourism in Barbados. Operating as a private-public sector partnership, BTMI aims to position the island as a premier tourist destination worldwide.
The functions of BTMI include promoting, assisting, and facilitating the efficient development of the tourism industry; designing and implementing targeted marketing strategies to effectively market Barbados; ensuring the provision of adequate and suitable air and sea passenger transport services to and from the island; encouraging the establishment of amenities and facilities necessary for the proper enjoyment of Barbados by visitors; and carrying out market intelligence to inform the evolving needs of the tourism sector. Through these activities, BTMI strives to enhance the overall visitor experience and support sustainable growth in the tourism industry.
