ABOUT
The Albanian National Tourism Agency (AKT) is the government’s lead body for promoting Albania as a travel destination at home and abroad. It operates under the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and is based in Tirana. Its mission is to raise Albania’s profile across the Mediterranean, Europe, and worldwide. The agency pursues this goal by taking part in international tourism fairs and by running targeted digital campaigns that highlight the country’s landscapes, heritage, and hospitality.
AKT works with tour operators, media partners, and local stakeholders to showcase tourism potential and to make trip planning easier. It publishes promotional materials, provides up-to-date travel information on destinations, services, and activities, and supports cultural, heritage, culinary, and sporting events. Many of these events are curated through the TEA (Tourism Events of Albania) application, which helps visitors discover what to see and do across Albania.
