ABOUT
Kenya Airways (KQ) is the flag carrier airline of Kenya. Its headquarters are located in Embakasi, Nairobi, and its main hub is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
It operates flights to over 40 destinations worldwide, including more than 35 cities in Africa, as well as routes to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. The airline carries over five million passengers annually and handles more than 70,000 tons of cargo through its Nairobi hub. It has been a member of the SkyTeam Alliance since 2007.
The airline offers both Business Premier World and Economy Class cabins, with premium lounges such as the Simba Lounge and JV Lounge available in Nairobi for premium and elite frequent flyer passengers. It has received multiple awards, including Africa’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards in 2020, as well as Best Airline Staff and Best Airline Cabin Crew in Africa at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
