ABOUT
The Alaska Railroad (ARRC) is a full-service railroad connecting ports and communities from the Gulf of Alaska to Fairbanks. Owned by the State of Alaska, ARRC operates as a self-sustaining corporation without state subsidies, offering year-round passenger, freight, and real estate services. Spanning over 470 miles, the railroad runs from Seward to Fairbanks, passing through Anchorage and Denali National Park. ARRC operates 57 locomotives, 1,381 freight cars, and 45 passenger cars with over 600 employees, carrying more than 400,000 passengers and 5.11 million tons of freight each year.
