ABOUT
The National Tourism Board of Algeria (Office National du Tourisme, ONT) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts of Algeria. Its mission is to promote Algeria as a leading tourist destination, both nationally and internationally, by showcasing the country’s cultural richness, natural diversity, and authentic heritage.
ONT leads Algeria’s tourism promotion, marketing, research, and industry training. It positions the country’s unique heritage and natural assets for global visibility and sustainable growth, while supporting national strategies to expand the sector by increasing hotel capacity, restoring historic sites, and attracting investment.
Its core activities include promoting Algeria’s diverse offerings through targeted campaigns and events, showcasing ancient Roman and Islamic landmarks, Mediterranean beaches, and Saharan landscapes, conducting research to guide tourism development and policy, and strengthening workforce skills through training programs.
