WestJet Airlines, established in 1994 and based in Calgary, Alberta, is Canada's second-largest airline. It serves domestic and international routes across North America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Central America. The airline began operations in 1996 with a small fleet of three Boeing 737-200 aircraft and has since expanded to transport over 25 million passengers annually. In March 2022, WestJet reached an agreement to acquire Sunwing Airlines and its tour operator division.
