ABOUT

The Embassy of Botswana in Washington, D.C., is the official representative of the government and people of the Republic of Botswana in the United States. The Embassy is accredited to 12 countries in North America and the Caribbean, including the US and Canada, as well as to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.

The Embassy advances Botswana’s national interests in trade, investment, tourism, natural resources, education, health, defense, the arts, youth empowerment, science, and technology. It also provides consular and information services. Opened in 1967 and located in the Dupont Circle Historic District, the Embassy has been instrumental in establishing diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation between Botswana and countries in North America and the Caribbean.
