The Gibraltar Tourist Board (GTB) is responsible for promoting tourism to Gibraltar. Gibraltar is located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. Historically, it is recognized as the southernmost point of Europe and is strategically positioned at the western end of the Mediterranean, forming one of the ancient Pillars of Hercules. The Rock consists mainly of Jurassic Limestone, which is approximately 200 million years old. Gibraltar can be accessed by land, sea, and air. Direct scheduled air services are available from the UK.
